This yellow caturra coffee lot comes from Finca El Morito and Lenin Flores. Finca El Morito is in the Cajamarca region of Peru, which is one of our favourite and often underrated coffee growing areas in Peru!
Caturra coffees often have very approachable profiles, lots of warm notes of caramel and nuttiness, balanced by pleasant acidity and some berry notes. This one is no different. Our early tasting notes are brown sugar, grape, light citrus.
Grown at 1700-1900m.
Great for filter or espresso.

Great care is taken at the farm to prioritize environmentally friendly practices, soil conservation and native species preservation. The use of compost instead of relying on fertilizers, and water management through the use of a waterless pulping process for the beans are just a couple of examples.
