The El Laurel lot comes from coffee producers in Laurel which is in the San Ignacio region of Peru. The producers have small farms - on average just 2 hectares, so they pool their top lots of coffee to create these unique and complex regional lots.
This lot was put together by Origin Coffee Lab, who has been working actively to improve prices for farmers, and has started a public health project in the area.
The coffee is roasted light, but with blended nature of the lot, it makes for excellent espresso. Also very nice as filter coffee.
Grown at 1600-1850m. Tasting notes of Chocolate, sweet plum, juicy acidity.
