Amparo Moncayo de Botina grows coffee in the Nariño region of Colombia. This is the fourth year that we have featured her coffee. This year, her top lot is 100% Red Caturra varietal, dried on raised beds. Compared to patio drying, raised beds allow more airflow and consistent drying.
This lot was grown 1920m above sea level, washed, fermented for 16-20 hours, then dried on covered raised beds for 12 days and vacuum sealed.
We find mellow flavours of hazelnut, cherry, apple and sweet lime.
